Deadlines for Select Team Coach Applications

U10 Dev – U12               => Feb 1, 2012              

U13 – U18                       => March 31, 2012

Note:  Select coaches must apply each year because there is an annual opportunity for coaches to challenge the position for a particular Select Team at any age group.  Field allocations for evaluations will not be provided until the Select Team Coach has been determined.

 

Coach Selection Process

  1. Submit coach application by the deadline above
  2. The Coach selection committee will review applications and request interviews if multipleapplications are received. 
  3. If necessary there may also be a coaching evaluation session set-up where the applicants may be given a topic and have to run a session with a team that they are not familiar with.
  4. Only the head coach will be selected.  The assistant coaches will be selected by the head coachonce the team has been selected.
  5. Coaches will be contacted once the Committee has selected the head coach.  The Selection Committee will endeavour to review the applications within 2 weeks of the application deadline.  IF there are multiple applications, the committee will attempt to contact the applicants near the end of the 2 week timeframe.  The process will take longer than 2 weeks if multiple applications are received.
